Hi, I’m Jolene!
My childhood interests in modifying bikes and skateboards slowly evolved into my passion for space and mechanical design throughout my time at Stanford University. As a senior pursuing a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Aeronautics & Astronautics, I’m passionate about incorporating first-principles thinking into designing for manufacturing. With my previous design experience in internships at SpaceX, Tesla, and Apple; thermofluids research with the Hanson Research Group; and electro-mechanical projects within the Stanford Student Space Initiative, my excitement for hands-on engineering has only grown deeper. I am not only able to take initiative in leading projects and completing goals, but I also have a strong can-do attitude that complements my meticulous technical skills.
As an advocate for women in STEM and a Class of 2023 Brooke Owens Fellow, I hope to combine my engineering goals with a fulfilling mission that promotes inclusivity to millions of people around the world.
I’m excited to work on future projects that continue to push the boundaries of the possibilities of engineering.
